Living In Total Dependence On Our HOLY GOD

The first step towards the Presence and blessing of God is acknowledging our Holy God in our lives. By acknowledging Him we declare that we depend on Him! It is the greatest joy of  every father to see that his children acknowledge how much they need Him. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.” (Proverbs 3:5-8) The first step towards the Presence and blessing of God is acknowledging our Holy God in our lives. By acknowledging Him we declare that we depend on Him! It is the greatest joy of every father to see that his children acknowledge how much they need Ηim. Our God is a jealous God. He deserves and expects full recognition in our lives. Everything good that comes in our lives, by whatever means, comes from the LORD and all the acknowledgment should go to Him always! “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17) Many times we get carried away and start relying on human strength, our faith, our confession etc. But we should remind ourselves that we cannot rely on our confession only, but on the LORD of the confession, the source of our strength and our faith! We don’t rely on our faith, but on the LORD of our faith, on God who is our trust and we can trust Him completely with everything we are! Strong words of dependence on God from the Eternal Word of God: “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation [is] from Him. We should talk to our soul and remind it Who our trust and expectation should be in. There is no better recipe for rest and relaxation in our lives! He only [is] my rock and my salvation: [he is] my defense; I shall not be moved. The more we depend on the LORD in our lives, the less we will be shaken in our lives.” (Psalms 62:5-6) Full dependence means no shaking at all. “In God [is] my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, [and] my refuge, [is] in God.” (Psalms 62:7) In God is our salvation (redemption from every attack and opposition), glory (complete fulfillment, satisfaction and healthy exaltation) and refuge (place of protection, rest and rejuvenation). “Trust in Him at all times; [ye] people, pour out your heart before him: God [is] a refuge for us.” (Psalms 62:8) We should never lose our hope because we believe in a the Living God! Our heart should be always open to Him, and closed to sin and the hope of this vain world. The Lord is our shelter, our hope and we run to Him for our every need. He is a Good Father! And the most important: in Him we run ALWAYS, not only when we need something. He is our greatest need. As for me and my house, we have decided that we will live a life of total dependence on our Holy God. What is your decision? Written by Pastor Sophocles Christodoulou
